Red Riding Hood

It's maybe a little bit too late to be raving about The Red Riding Hood movie. But what I'm about to post today isn't about the movie anyways. It's all about the makeup and beauty.





I've heard that every girl would look pretty and glamorous in red lips. You only have to find the perfect red for you.
And recently I found out about the NYX lipstick in Snow White (lol...very hillarious right?). Well, It's look like this...



Pretty right ? It's a dark cherry red lipstick that give a youthful and dramatic look to your lips and I'm quite crazy about this lipstick right now. It's also a versatile color for me since It's suite both Snow White and Red Riding Hood mood of mind:-)

I enjoy answering these beauty question right now. This is my 3rd taged blog of the month.

SKINCARE

-How many times do you wash your face daily?
Twice - 1st in the morning and 2nd in the evening when I got home. It's very important to me to wash my face twice dialy cuz I get break out easily if I don't take care of my skin well.

-What skin type do you have? (dry,oily,combo)
I have oily-combination skin.

-What is your current facial wash?
DHC mild soap in the morning because it's gentle and doesn't dry out my face.
Skinfood tea tree foam cleanser in the evening because it makes my face feel really clean.

-Do you exfoliate?
Yes but I don't do it frequency- I just exfoliate when I feel like my skin needed to which is about once a week.

-What brand do you use?
I use Skinfood Rice Wash off mask (make my skin super soft and clear) and Tony Moly Gold Black Sugar Mask (It's fun to use and also leave my skin super soft and clean)

-What moisturizer do you use?
I am switching between Skinfood Tea Tree Essense (when I have problem with acne/redness) and Vyes Rocher Culture Bio Awakening Cream (smell green & fresh and it does make my skin awake in the morning)

-Do you have freckles?
No, but I wish I had.

-Do you use eye cream?
Yes I'm switching between La Plarry Australia Eye cream and y home made organic eye cream.

-Do you or did you have acne prone skin?
I do, I do but I don't have much acne because I take care of my skin really well. My skin need a high maintenace to stay clear from acne through.

-Did you ever have to use Pro-activ?
No, I heard it's too harsh for our skin.

MAKE-UP
-What foundation do you use?
I only use foundation in special occasions- I always keep a small bottle of RMK Liquid Foundation in handy because I doesn't cake and look very natural on me. I don't like full coverage nor cakey foundation at all.

-How about concealer?
Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer is he best and Maybelline clear smooth mineral concealor for everyday wear.

-Do you know your undertone color?
I have a pale-yellow or light golden skintone.

-What do you think of fake eyelashes?
I love them when I want to look perfect but I'm against it for everyday wear.

-Did you know that you are supposed to change your mascara every 3 months?
Yes of course but I never follow this rule:-D
It always take a little bit longer for me to finish one (4 - 5 months).

-What brand of mascara do you use?
Maybelline and Majorica Majorca are my two favourites.

-Sephora or MAC?
Sephora- I love varieties of products, I'm not a brand royalty and I think I could never be:-D

-Do you have a MAC Pro-card?
No, as I told before I'm not a brand royalty and I had only 3 products of MAC in my collection. What a shame!

-What makeup tools do you use in make up application?
Eventhrough I have lots of brushes, I use fingers most of the times!
It's much faster:-D

-Do you use make-up base/primer for the eyes?
Yes - Urban Decay Primer Potion is the best!

-For the face?
No, I only use face primer on special occasion that I need to look perfect. but I never use face primer on my everyday basis. I have a small tube of Smashbox silicone base just in case.

-What is your favorite eyeshadow (color or shade)?
I love taupe , lavender and dark purple shade, they make my eyes pop!

-Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?
I use both pencil and liquid, I'm an eyeliner junkie. Anyways I found pencil is faster and look more natural.

-How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?
Never, I'm a professional when it comes to eyeliner :-p

-What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?
I like the color variety of them but I found it's too messy for eveyday use.

-Do you use mineral makeup?
I did in the past but when I grow older I found it's too messy and inconvenient to be used.

-What is your favorite lipstick?
Revlon Nude velvet and Revlon Pink in the Afternoon.

-How about lipgloss?
Revlon Pink Persuit (I think Revlon makes best lip products)

-What is your favorite blush to use?
MAC Pinkswoon and NARS Oasis

-Do you buy your makeup on ebay?
I do most of the times.

-Do you like drugstore makeup?
I love drugstore makeup! I enjoy finding good products from drugstore.

-Do you go to CCO's? (cosmetic company outlets)
I wish I could but the place where I live doesn't have any CCO's :-(

-Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?
Yes I would love to do that. If I ever had enough freetimes to.

-Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?
No, I'm not I'm quite professional in putting my own make up but if I have to put makeup on comebody else I'm clumsy.

-Name a makeup crime that you hate?
overplucked eye brows, too long and unnatural false eyelashes, overlined lip liner, cakey foundations.

-Do you like colorful shades of makeup (lipstick,eyeshadow) or neutral ones?
I like neutrals normally but bright lipsticks are fun too.

-Which celebrity always has great make up?
I love Emma Watsons makeup. She look naturally beautifull.

-If you could leave the house using just ONE make up item,what would you use?
Cheek&Lip tint/ Blush cream that can be applied on cheek and lips.

-Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?
Yes, I do it a lot during holidays.

-Do you think you look good even without any makeup on?
I look okay without makeup but I look better with makeup.

-In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?
Overall I would say Nars; I love both Nars eyeshadows, blushes and lipsticks I tried foundation once and I think it's great too.

-What do you think of Makeup?

♥ How old were you when you started wearing makeup? ♥
I didn't really start wearing make up until enter collage, 18 years old. You can definitely call me a late bloomer.
(Well, I did use some lipgloss during my highschool years is that counted?)

♥ How did you get into makeup? ♥
It just happen naturally when I entered collage I was 18 years old and most of my friends are already bloom long back.
Plus the collage is in a very sunny area that if I don't wear sunscreen I'm gonna get sunburn. So that's when I started wearing sunscreen+loose powder after that my list keep growing constantly into cheek color, lipgloss, eyeliner, mascara etc.

♥ What are some of your favourite brands? ♥
I don't really have favourite brand but I do have favourite product from a brand. For example...I love NARS eyeshadows, I love MAC blushes, I love Maybelline mascara, I love LM & Clinique lipsticks
I love Bobbi Brown Gel liner and I love Revlon Lipsticks & Lipglosses.

♥ What does make-up mean to you? ♥
Make-up is an important tool to enhance your natural beauty, not a tool to hide who you are.
Make-up is also a kind of art that you can create every single day.

♥ If you could only wear 4 products on your face what would they be? ♥
This's very easy. I'd wear Sunscreen, Loose powder, Blush and Tinted Lipbalm. Then I just put my glasses on and I'm ready to go. They're almost all I need for my everyday make-up.

♥ What is your favourite thing about makeup? ♥
My favorite thing about make-up is when you wake up every morning to do make-up then you look in the mirror and you look more beautiful. After lunch when you re-apply your lipstick and lipgloss that's a blissful moment. After work when you go for shopping, try new make-up, seeing yourself in new styles. That's what I call everyday happiness.

♥ What do you think about drugstore makeup vs high end makeup? ♥ Drugstore makeup aren't all bad and High end makeup aren't all good. So choose wisely before buying any new products, do some research, always try before purchase. It depends on what suite you the most, not what cost you the most, yet if the thing that suite you the most costs more money then you should consider it as an investment.

♥ What is one tip of advice you can give to a beginner? ♥
Do wear sunscreen everyday and Don't start wearing foundation until you really need it.

♥ What is one makeup trend you never understood? ♥
wearing false eyelashes and full coverage foundation everyday

♥ What do you think of the Beauty Community on Youtube/Blogger? ♥
Best place for sharing knowledge, tips, reviews on make-up. I learnt a lot from both Youtube and Blogger.

Berry Lips

Ohh WoW! I'm so in love with these berry lips of Vanessa Hudgen. She look so beautiful in this look.

Well, actually I think everybody gonna look beautiful in berry lips. Try it and you gonna love it like I do.

Let's Give yourself A Good Night Kiss!

Ladies, It's been a while again since my last post. I've been too busy and too lazy to start a new post. But here I am presenting you my new obsession. Baviphat Good Night Kiss Lip Care Essence
For many of you who haven't hear about Baviphat before, it's a korean cosmetic brand that I think follow the idea of Benefits. I found both names and packaging are very similar.

Move on to the product I'm so in love since my lips dry in to patches that I can't take no more. Then I accidentally find this product while browsing some beauty website so I decided to give it a try. Because It's very cheap, It's cute name and packaging. About the result I'd never been happier. My lips are much softer and I feel a lot happier about my lips.

Sunscreen everyday.

Ladies...I have to tell you that recently I found that my skin is getting darker and darker I also feel older and older. I keep figuring out why is that happen? And now I know why. It's because I was fooled by the day time moisturizer that contain suncreen property some with SPF25, some with SPF30 and I throught that's a lot! So I only use these moisturize on my skin instead of a sunscreen product for almost a year!

After I finished those moisturizers I've just go back to my old skincare routine that include sunscreen SPF35 after just 2 weeks ago, I realised my skin look brighter and brighter.

So I just want to warn you girls not to be fooled like I did for almost a year.
From now on Let's wear sunscreen everyday!

Amanda Seyfried's eyes makeup in Letters to Juliet

The look was created by makeup artist Diane Mazur using Girlactik's ''satin'' eye shadow ($17; girlactik.com) all over the lids and a shade similar to Laura Mercier's ''marigold'' eye shadow in the crease ($22; lauramercier.com) then finished the look with a dark-brown mascara.

I think it's a very neutral makeup that perfect for everyday. I can't find what she wore on her cheeks and lips.
But It's must be the color that give the glow from within effect like Benefit Georgia on the cheeks.
And for the lips, It's kinda warm tone nude color. So I'd suggest Mac peachstock or Mac Honeylove lipstick.

My New Year Beauty Resolution + 2010 Wishlist.

I know it comes so late. But late is better than never right?

So this year my beauty resolution are...

1.) I will try to minimize my make up collection as much as possible. I will try to use up some old stuff before buying a new one. And I will toss stuffs that has been too old.

2.) I will buy only things I need, not thing I like, or want. And I will buy only good quality product not gimmicky product anymore

3.) I will pamper my skin more than last year. I mean scrub my face at least once a week, do face mask twice a week, moisturize everyday, clean my face twice a day(I've done this all my life even in winter).

4.) I will loss some weight. Since my weight has increase dramatically last year that I've to change my clothes size:-(

For my wish list:

1.) MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural #Light or Light Medium (still couldn't choose one)


2.) Kose Sekkisei Supreme Makeup Base (Because I want a lighter make up routine like base+MMU)


3.) MAC 187 brush (because I have 188 and sometimes I wish it's bigger)


4.) Etude proof10 eyes primer or Urban Decay Primer Potion (because I need a good eyesprimer in my life)


Well, that's all for now. Because just 3 pieces above could break my bank already.

Let's Moisturize!

Hello! Everyone. Time passed by really fast since 15 days of new year has passed and I've just come up with my new year beauty resolution including my inspiration.



Sarah Jessica Parker, she is a stylish and gorgeous woman. I love her styles as Carrie Bradshaw and also her casual real life style. But that's not the thing that really inspire me. Actually it's her hands and feet that has been so inspiring.



Guys, I didn't mean to be mean to her. It's just the thing that strong enough to lead me a change.
I had never cared much about my hands and feet, and never even bother to moisturize my body if it wasn't winter.
I has been cared only my face (including the neck after last year). And this year I decided to care more about my hands, feets and body. Because I want all my body to stay forever young:-) For that reason I'd recommend...


1.) Jergen’s Ultra Healing Lotion
My number one favourite. The best body lotion ever! It's so moisturizing, easy to absorb, leave my skin ultra soft even in winter. And this bottle last a long time. for these reasons Jergen lotion has turned in to my staple product easily.


2.) Bath and Body Works Body Cream
Well, there're times that I'm still too lazy to put on body lotion everyday. Here's is a trick, I bought my favourite scent body lotion from BBWs, Ps. I love you and also Twilight Woods . And that help a lot! Their scent are heavenly nice and the texture of the body cream is moisturizng enough even in winter either, it is easier to absorb too. But I found it's a bit on the pricer side if you buy it in full price like I did.


3.) Soap & Glory Glow Lotion
For a little glitz and glamour, I choose Soap & Glory Glow Lotion to moisturize and add some glow to my body.
And it smell nice like nothing else can beat. The packaging is really cute.
